Wendy is a UK based artist whose drawing and printmaking reflects the experience of walking through rural countryside or along coastlines. Walking is a daily endeavour that enables Wendy to explore the varying experiences of footpaths, bridleways, lanes and beaches; tracking seasonal and environmental changes. Each walk provides a series of glimpses of place, captured in sketches and photographs. Her visual research informs her drawings and etchings made in the studio. Wendy draws with graphite, water soluble graphite and charcoal and her etchings are created using traditional intaglio methods on copper plates.

Wendy completed her practice based doctoral research at UWE in 2019, and continues to explore the practical application of concepts such as creativity and tacit understanding. Material and experiential research continues through her own work and working with others.
